Buckroe Beach

Buckroe Beach, located east of Hampton, is a beautiful beach and park along the Chesapeake Bay. This eight-mile Virginia Beach area beach, is the perfect location of a day of summer-time family fun. Kids love playing at the beach playground, in addition to making sand castles and running in and out of the ocean. Enjoy a walk along the walking path or bring your bicycle for a nice ride along the ocean.

With lifeguards on duty between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the beach is a wonderful place to spend time together as a family. The Groovin' by the Bay concerts on Sunday nights and Tuesday night movies along the beach, are a great way to wind down from a fun day at the beach. During your visit, be sure to tour Fort Monroe, south of Buckroe Beach, to learn more about the area's rich history.
