Museum of the Shenandoah Valley

Focusing on Shenandoah Valley culture, the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley – or MSV – is located in northern Virginia in the city of Winchester. MSV is divided into the house, the gardens, and the museum – open year round.

The museum is then divided into four galleries: Shenandoah Valley Gallery, Julian Wood Glass Jr. Gallery, R. Lee Taylor Miniatures Gallery, and Changing Exhibition Gallery. The Glen Burnie Historic House – a Virginia Landmark found on the National Register of Historic Places – and accompanying six-acre gardens are open March to November.

Shenandoah University

Established in 1875, Shenandoah University is a private institute set in Winchester with an enrollment of 3,800 students. Set in northern Virginia, SU features over 80 programs across seven schools.

Formerly Shenandoah Seminary, Shenandoah College, and Shenandoah Conservatory, the current Shenandoah University consists of over three campuses. Home to the Hornets athletics department, SU offers degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.

Winchester Regional Airport

Set in Frederick County, Winchester Regional Airport (KOKV) is a public use airpark located in Winchester in northern Virginia. Formerly the Winchester Municipal Airport, KOKV covers over 450 acres.

Owned by the Winchester Regional Airport Authority, KOKV features one runway, and over 100 based aircraft. Established in 1937, KOKV supports 24-hour general aviation.
