Explore the Race Tracks in Virginia
Explore Western VA, Central VA, and Coastal VA Race Tracks
Check out the best of local and national racing circuits on your next visit to Virginia. Whether you're heading north to cities like Alexandria and Fairfax City, or staying central in Richmond, you'll have a wide range of paved and dirt-track races to see.
Make your way to the western region of Virginia and enjoy the races at South Boston Speedway. Hosting select NASCAR events and the Whelen Southern Modified Tour 150 race, South Boston Speedway proves to be an ideal way to experience southern-style racing in Virginia.
Don't miss out on a visit to the very popular Martinsville Speedway. Martinsville Speedway is the home track for the STP 500, a premier NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Event. Drive in from nearby Danville or Hillsville and see all the exciting races.
When your Virginia travels have you in Richmond, be sure to plan on taking the family to the Richmond International Speedway. Opened in 1946, the RIR, as it's locally known, hosts popular races like the Toyota Owners 400 and the Federated Auto Parts 400 – two of the biggest races on the NASCAR circuit.
As many Virginia summer-visitors head for the coast to enjoy the beaches, follow suit and check out two of the top race tracks in the state. Start off with some fun at the Langley Speedway, one of the fastest tracks in all of racing, thanks to it's low gradient of banking degrees. Langley Speedway hosts NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour races.
Also near the coast of VA is the Virginia Motor Speedway. Drive in from nearby Williamsburg and see the glory of this 1/2 mile track in person. You can see races from the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, or the Truckin Thunder Sportsman series.
Whether you prefer dirt tracks, ovals, or "D" shaped tracks, tour Virginia and find your new favorite raceway.
